I have included some background info below as well as a “flip book” version and a few examples of appearances and articles. My book and my broad range of dog rescue services, events and activities that started with the book, have attracted much attention by sellers and buyers through the press, internet, podcasts and popular events, and is building a strong following by word of mouth among its target audience.

THE ART OF CANINE CUISINE contains unique recipes covering six international cuisines. All the recipes have been vet approved as safe for healthy dogs and, with a few spice adjustments, can be shared with their human “parents.” Each cuisine section presents original painted portraits of canine guides, with each breed representing it’s country of origin and history. The dogs featured have endearing rescue stories. It’s not just a beautiful book, but also a journal of the stories of rescued dogs from heartbreaking conditions to new lives. The book is an original and the first of its kind- composed and formatted as a high quality art and photography book that at 12 ¼” X 12 ¼” can be proudly displayed on a coffee, entry, lobby, or display table, or among unique collectibles in a boutique shop. • I was born in Los Angeles California USA. Soon thereafter I was off with my international family to travel the world on cruise ships. My Canadian father and Spanish mother often decided to stay for a while in foreign ports, sometimes for a month, sometimes for several years. As major fans of fine food and wine they introduced me to the world of high cuisine as practiced by many cultures. By the time I was eight I had shaken the hands of dozens of ship captains, dined at their tables, learned to order and comment on food in several languages, and enjoyed sampling recipes from all types of places, from street stands to some of the most famous restaurants in the world.

I returned to Los Angeles as an adult to begin a career in the entertainments industry, focusing film and television production and finance. After learning the business by working with some of the big hitters in Hollywood, I formed my own production company and worked with media projects for more than 30 years. Along the way I began supporting rescue and fostering organizations for wildlife and domestic animals. I fostered many types of animals, some of which ended up as permanent residents when it became just too difficult to let go.

My inspiration for this book started with my loving, fuzzy, baby Bellissima, a white Chihuahua/Maltese. Before long, Bella had some sisters, Daisy, Bebe and Bootsie (also known as “Piglet”) Bella became my service dog and at my side as a saving grace in my life through the best and worse of times. She now has a new roll as my companion in cuisine and loyal sous chef and professional taster. All of the recipes in this book have been tested by Bella and I know that of they get past her, they will satisfy the taste and comfort of the pickiest and most pampered dogs anywhere.
